Yoga Challenge with Karolína Grassi

Jógová výzva s Karolínou Grassi

Yoga is a great tool for relaxing both body and mind, and with the right aids, your practice can be even more effective. That's why we have joined forces with Karolína Grassi and filmed a series of inspirational videos, in which we will show you how to connect movement, breath, and conscious work with the body.

We want to bring you quality yoga videos in Czech, which will allow you to practice anytime and anywhere – from the comfort of your home, in nature, or on the go. We thank Karolína for her energy and passion for yoga – we believe that these videos will bring you joy and a deeper connection with yourselves!

Yoga for back pain

Back pain is one of the most common problems today, and therefore it is important to give it regular care. In this lesson, we will focus on the entire spine area, with an emphasis on the lower back.

We will work with spinal rotations, which help release tension and improve mobility. We will also focus on releasing the sciatic nerve and gluteal muscles, which is crucial for preventing pain in the lower back and pelvis. Furthermore, we will include gentle stretching of the cervical spine and releasing of the shoulder joints to eliminate tension that often accumulates due to stress and prolonged sitting.

Yoga for strong abdominal muscles

Strong abdominal muscles are the foundation of a healthy and stable body. In this lesson, we will focus on activating them through a dynamic yoga sequence that not only strengthens the core but also supports overall balance and coordination of movements. Through conscious engagement of the deep stabilization system, we will improve posture and prevent back pain.

The lesson includes poses like plank, downward-facing dog, and other balancing variations that engage not only the transverse abdominal muscle but also the back and hip muscles. Breath control and fluid movement between poses will help you connect body and mind, bringing not only physical stability but also a feeling of inner strength.

"TIP: You can combine the videos in different ways to create your own yoga routine according to your needs. For example, start with a core-strengthening lesson and then add a relaxing sequence for the spine. This will ensure a balanced practice that supports both strength and flexibility."

Yoga for balance

In this lesson, we will focus on poses that will help you improve body control, strengthen deep muscles, and simultaneously find harmony in the mind. We will learn how to properly distribute weight on the foot, work with breath, and maintain poses with ease. We will explore one-legged stances, focus on technique in Warrior II pose, improve stability in Half Moon pose, and also try Standing Split for greater flexibility and control.

For a deeper experience, we will use a Korkie cork yoga block to support stability, and at the end, we will enjoy a relaxing Savasana with a bolster, which will help the body fully surrender and regenerate.

"TIP: After the video, stay on your meditation cushion, close your eyes, and dedicate a few more minutes to quiet meditation. Let your body rest in peace and your mind flow freely."

Power Yoga

Dynamic flow power vinyasa focused on strengthening and stretching the entire body. We activate the core and gradually work through Warrior II variations, Reverse Warrior, and Triangle.

We also include plank pose and chaturanga, a yogic push-up that strengthens the arms and torso. This practice will give you energy and strength for the entire day!

Morning Yoga

Morning yoga is an ideal way to start the day, but you can practice it anytime you need to regain energy and calm your mind. The class begins with a short meditation and relaxing breathing technique, followed by gentle stretches and standing poses that activate the body and bring a sense of balance.

"TIP: Just 10-15 minutes is enough to feel more focused, energetic, and balanced. Plus, a regular morning ritual promotes discipline and a sense of inner stability amidst daily chaos."

Evening Yoga

Evening yoga is an ideal choice to calm both body and mind after a demanding day. This gentle and relaxing sequence includes only lying and kneeling postures, making it suitable even for complete beginners or when you feel tired.

The practice concludes with an extended shavasana (final relaxation) using a Korkie bolster, which provides body support and allows for deeper relaxation. Treat yourself to this peaceful ritual as a natural transition from daily hustle to evening rest.

Meditation for stress relief

Together with Karolína, we have also prepared two short relaxation techniques for you, which you can use independently or as a natural conclusion to your exercise. Both videos are suitable for beginners and do not require any prior experience with meditation or breathing techniques.

Body scan meditation - attention gradually shifts from the head to the feet, without trying to change or fix anything. This technique helps release accumulated tension, slow down the mind, and anchor yourself in the present moment. It is ideal in moments when you feel overwhelmed or need to give your body a real rest.

The second option is three-phase breath (Dirga pranayama) - this is a simple breathing exercise that gradually engages the abdomen, chest, and upper lungs. The breath naturally deepens and slows down, which has a calming effect on the nervous system.

Both techniques can help you better attune to your body, release tension, and create space for a calmer end to your day.

Conclusion

This six-part series of yoga videos by Korkie was created in collaboration with instructor Karolína Grassi and is intended for anyone who wants to incorporate quality and conscious yoga into their daily life.

Each video offers a different type of practice – from morning stretches to dynamic vinyasa to evening relaxation – all in Czech and from the comfort of your home. Just unroll your mat and let yourself be guided – by body, breath, and peace.
